Title: Need help getting rid of Molluscum!!!!!
Post by: Ericjfrank on 25/07/2014 17:52:06
About a week ago I was diagnosed with Molluscum at my local STD Clinic.
It is primarily on my penis shaft and then goes up my abdomen.
Pretty much all of the bumps are super small in size except for a couple.

The woman at the clinic told me that molluscum is pretty much harmless which is a definitely good thing. They also told me that there is nothing to do for it except wait it out... I DO NOT ACCEPT THAT. especially when they told me it can last as long as 4 years! are you kidding me!
I have done a ton of research on google in regards to getting rid of these things and I am finding so many mixed solutions/failures.

First I got this stuff called ZymaDerm at my local Walgreens store. I have been applying it about 4 times a day for the past week every day and I am not seeing much difference. I fact more small bumps have started to appear on the shaft of my penis and up my abdomen.

Over the past week I have watched one of these bumps turn into a very large sized one.. about the size of a pencil eraser!
At that point I knew I needed to do something about it so I tried the apple Cider Vinegar remedy last night.
I basically took cotton balls, apple cider vingegar, and water proof bandaids and soaked the cotton balls in the ACV
after the cotton ball was completely soaked with ACV I put it on the large molluscum and then sealed it with a band aid for the night.
When I got up this morning the bump had turned completely white. It is now 12:30 in the afternoon and the bump is now a black/dark red color and it is not raised up anymore as much from my skin. I read that the black color is actually a very good thing and it means that I have killed, but only on that bump not all of them. If anyone knows more about that please comment!

SO, as of right now I know that I can use Apple Cider Vinegar for the large Molluscum BUT most of the bumps are extremely tiny and they are on my penis shaft.. so taping cotton balls and band aids to my penis simply wont work because when ever I move.. the band aids will fall off. So I am trying to find a way to get rid of these tiny molluscum bumps on my penis shaft and up my abdomen.

Does anyone have a home remedy or idea of how to get these tiny molluscum off my penis shaft and abdomen that doesnt involve using bandaids on my penis and whatnot??
ALSO I have not scratched or opened any of these lesions at all.. so why are they spreading??

I have yet to try tee tree oil yet but I am going to pick up some tonight after I get out of work. Please leave your comments on your experience with tea tree oil if you have had any.

I am also worried about my girl friend who gave me oral sex about a week ago right when I am sure I had the molluscom. could she get these things on her face and mouth since she was down there??

I am really freaking out about this and its scaring me a lot. I have always suffered form severe anxiety and this is just consuming my life at this point and I dont know how to make it stop.
I dont have health insurance so I am pretty much at the mercy of over the counter home remedies. Any help or encouragement would help me a ton.

My whole family have had molluscum over the last couple of years. Doctors and dermatologists (we saw 2 of each) all said the same thing. Leave it alone and it will go away. What bad advice. What started as a few bumps on my oldest boy ended up covering his whole body and my other children caught it as well.

We initially used some over the counter ointments and they did have some impact. But overall we had far more success in an old remedy that my aunt told me about. Apple cider vinegar, clove oil and cover them up. We have more recently found a site with a detailed treatment guide using these and other natural ointments. I have attached a picture of my little girl who used this treatment (we submitted to their website for use).

There is already a long thread about Molluscum Contagiosum here. (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=358.0)

Please direct additional comments to that thread.  I'll merge topics shortly.
