How Do You Think We Can Get To Proxima B?

Soo.. the other day I read that the Alpha Centauri system might have several exoplanets apart from Proxima b.. so I looked for info about the Starshot project and found out that the team launched in July a 3.5 x 3.5cm satellite weighing 4 grams.. this encourages me to believe that the project can actually be achievable.. what do you guys think? do you think that a faster interstellar travel system will be developed even sooner?
I decided to make a video on this exciting topic and I would like to share it with you guys: youtu.be/jF2juqeDa-E
I honestly can't wait 44 years for receiving the first images of Proxima b, I would be 70 years old. There must be another way of getting there sooner.

I'm not sure. With a top speed of 15-20% of the speed of light, Starshot would already be faster than the old interstellar probe design called Daedalus which was to be powered by nuclear fission (and would reach 12% of light speed). Starshot itself already requires existing technology to improve before it can go ahead, so I think this is about as good as we can expect in the near future. You can always cross your fingers and hope some new form of propulsion is discovered, but I wouldn't count on it.

Hello alfa015 ✋
Alpha Centauri is interesting & Breakthrough StarShot Program is exciting, but even your curiosity n impatience is highly commendable. 👌
Of course a faster way of getting there might be researched in the near future, remember Anything is Possible & Nothing is Impossible. 👍
On your 70th birthday you might be posting a closeup image of Proxima b on TNS forum, I know n understand its a long wait but hey, better Late than Never right! ✌
