Title: Is human-triggered climate change bucking the natural cycle?
Post by: thedoc on 04/08/2013 18:30:01
scott matejka  asked the Naked Scientists:

I was wondering whether anthropomorphic global warming is currently bucking the natural cycle, overcoming a cooling period, or if it is accelerating an already present natural warming trend. And if so then, what portion is man made and what percent is natural?

Also, the IPCC predicts a change from1.1 to 2.9 °C by the end of thecentury. Why is the margin of error that "large", what generates such uncertainty? Are there unknown factors? Climatalogical? Political? Technological?
