Do you think the lung microbiota is the difference between asymptomatic and symptomatic people with COVID-19? Perhaps people with preexisting diseases have taken drugs that alter the microbiota in their lungs and do not have the natural protection of the normal lung flora. Is it possible to perform a sputum microbiome transplant in the same way that a fecal microbiota would work, from an asymptomatic positive patient to a symptom-positive one?
