Title: What exactly is the universe expanding into?
Post by: JennyGracie on 28/02/2019 15:04:03
Rob wants to know,

What exactly is the universe expanding into, given dark matter and antimatter will only ever increase the expansion and there will be no contraction?

Does anyone know?

Think of it as connections. Think of it as a 'defined mass of a universe'.
What 'expands' is not mass, it's 'space'.

Space is presumed to be 'null', expecting homogeneity and isotropy. It doesn't 'change' due to a accelerating expansion.
So what does it 'expand' into?

A geometry?
