Title: What's the best way to get out of depression?
Post by: DepressedMan on 19/01/2008 03:36:35
The last 3 months of my life have been terrible. Everything is going wrong. Once everything seems to be going right they just fall right back down again. The best way I can find out to descibe it is like a hill. There is this hill. I try and try to get up it and I can finally see the top and then I fall right back down again. More recently I haven't been able to see the top of the hill. Is it getting bigger or am I just giving up completely?

I'd rahter not use drugs or doctors. I just need help finding something.

What can I do..

Firstly, feeling depressed is not the same as clinical depression, and drugs would not necessarily be the answer anyway (even if you were to ask for them).

You don't really say what your problems are (and it would be impertinent of me to ask), but I would suggest that while there are no magic solutions to money woes, or marriage breakups; but from a personal perspective, the worst thing is feeling useless, so it is best to find a way of making yourself useful, even if it does not bring in money, it makes you feel that you can make some difference to the world, and that you have some value in other people's lives.

It does not have to be anything dramatic or world shattering useful, just the small things for the people around you, so that you can begin to feel that you have added value to the lives of those around you, and so have given your own life some value.
