We are having our fifth child.  My wife have had some blood coming out from her vagina and that was 20 hours ago. Doctor have examined it and found that for the last 20 hours, the cervi had dilated at 4cm.  Blood still ooze out but the dilation remain the same and there is no contraction.

 The Question:  Is the dilation remaining at the same size (4cm) is normal or is there a possibility the wall is not flexible.  FYI The last birth was 5 years ago but last year, my wife had a miscarriage in the 4th month.

Can anyone shed some light to this question, please.
