Title: Mouseless windows 7 shutdown
Post by: syhprum on 21/01/2010 20:32:40
I have recently installed a battery powered wireless 'mouse' and to conserve battery life I try to remember to shut it off.
When I shut the computer down I like to do a proper software shutdown to avoid disk drive problems, how can I do this if I have already switched the 'mouse' off ?.

Umm... start the shutdown, then turn the mouse off.  That's what I do (although for my gateway and server I sometimes I just press the power button, which under the distro of Linux that I use initiates a normal shutdown on those systems).  I'd be a bit surprised if you can't configure the power button actions in Windows.
