Title: Is vaccination is just an old superstition?
Post by: Atkhenaken on 01/10/2016 17:43:03
The process of vaccination is derived from ancient tribal practices which goes back thousands of years into our primeval past. It was once thought (and still is apparently) that mixing animal and human blood together would protect people from getting sick. It was thought that the animals spirit and strength could be gained by mixing the animals blood with human blood. Edward Jenner used these old wives tales as inspiration and thought that there might be some scientific validity to this process. But, alas, there is nothing to gain by injecting animal blood into human blood. In fact, the practice is highly dangerous to the person's health because they need to preserve the animal blood with dangerous chemicals which may attack the nervous system of susceptible individuals. Unfortunately, Edward Jenner had no training in nutrition and was not to know that most disease is caused by vitamin deficiency and has nothing to do with germs. But, modern understanding of how the body functions has enlighten some people who now avoid eating inappropriate foods like dairy, grain, sugar and alcohol. These people can enjoy perfect health and never have to worry about getting sick with - headaches, cancer, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, colds or flu.

"Is vaccination is just an old superstition? "
No.
The outstandingly obvious reason is that people who are vaccinated against infections don't (generally) get those infections.
We have, for example, pretty much wiped out smallpox and polio this way.
You can't eradicate a disease with an old wives tale.
You must realise that that your claim makes not sense.
Your point is rather undermined when you say " It was once thought (and still is apparently) that ...".
Practically nobody thinks that. You made that up.

And " mixing animal and human blood together" never really was what happened in vaccination- it certainly isn't now.
" It was thought that the animals spirit and strength could be gained by mixing the animals blood with human blood."
By whom was this thought?
How can it be applicable today when mixing blood simply isn't part of the process (even if it ever was)?

"Edward Jenner used these old wives tales as inspiration "
Not really- he heard from a girl who had cowpox that, while it was a nuisance, it would stop her getting smallpox.
That was already known to be true and he simply exploited it.

Jenner realised that, if you deliberately spread cowpox then you would get the population immune to smallpox and it would die out.

Nothing to do with your bollocks explanation about mixing blood.

" In fact, the practice is highly dangerous to the person's health"
Clearly not true.
Virtually everyone in the West these days gets lots of vaccinations.
We live longer healthier lives than at any time in human history.

"because they need to preserve the animal blood "
How could that even begin to make sense when they don't use animal blood.
You are repeatedly making it clear that you do not know what you are talking about.

"Edward Jenner had no training in nutrition "
As the son of a wealthy vicar and the apprentice to a doctor, he would have been better educated in nutrition that most people of his era. Granted that vitamins per se had not been described.
He would probably have been aware of the use of fresh fruit for treating Scurvy so it's unrealistic to say he didn't know about nutrition.

This" most disease is caused by vitamin deficiency and has nothing to do with germs."
makes no sense. Almost everyone in the West has adequate supplies of vitamins in their diet- but there is still disease.
It is therefore impossible for you to be right.

" But, modern understanding of how the body functions has enlighten some people who now avoid eating inappropriate foods like dairy, grain, sugar and alcohol. These people can enjoy perfect health and never have to worry about getting sick with - headaches, cancer, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, colds or flu."
If that were even close to true then you would be able to show me these "superhumans". After a hundred years they would be particularly obvious.
But they don't exist.
Anyway, your question has been answered: there's nothing more for you to say.
