I just saw an add for a product I saw years ago, one that turns air humidity into tap water. People did not believe me then but here is the site: <commercial link removed>
[Mod edit: Product promo site selling for US $1550 a 110v device producing 8 gallons a day]

Seems expensive for a dehumidifier.

Is this advertising?

There has been talk about similar products for bicycles and backpacking, although I don't know if any are on the market yet.
Places with high humidity often have ample water sources. Although this may have a niche for making a small amount of clean/soft water.

Is this advertising?
No, it is a reference to a technology.

The link takes you directly to a site trying to sell it to you. It's against site rules to link to such sites.
My device cost about an 8th of that one, produces 6 gallons a day (probably 8 if I ran it outdoors where the humidity is high) and it cools the house instead of heating it.
My family had one of these back in the 70's. It's hardly revolutionary technology.
Oh, and it isn't tap water if it doesn't come from the tap. It's probably cleaner than tap water.
