Title: Is this the remains of a Giant's Kettle?

Out walking in a new area the other day, we came across an area where some part of the mountain/rock distinguished itself from the rest.

We discussed what this could be, why it was so different then the rest, but we are not geologists, and have no answer. Our guess is the remnants of a "Giant's kettle".
Maybe it's imporant for you to know that this is in the middle of Norway :-)

Is this some we can learn more about? What do you see in the pictures? Is it only regular wear and tear?

Those are definitely abrasion marks left during a glacial period. I'm not certain that it's definitely a Giant's Kettle though - it might just be the edge of the glacier, or a point where water was streaming along the side of the glacier; so it's a sort of half giant's kettle!

What do @Bass or @JimBob think?
