Title: How did life get started on Earth?
Post by: thedoc on 16/12/2014 18:09:48
Using a laser to recreate comet and asteroid impacts on the early Earth, scientists have discovered the chemical origins of life...

Interesting...

So, the theory is that creation of a milieu with various chemicals was not enough to create life. And, that Earth required at least two phases of bombardment.

The Early concretion phase, followed by a period of cooling, then a second phase of the late heavy bombardment.

A question might also be whether such biphasic concretion is common for exoplanets.
