Title: Barley as alternative energy

Barley produces 1,5 tons/hectare of ethanol(about 30% of its weight).
It is interesting because its vegetative cycle is very short (2-3 months also) ant it's resistant to different climates.
Its straw can be used for ships also......and would be interesting to know how many straw it produces.

Barley oats have also been shown to reduce serum cholesterol levels. So a handful all round !

It's the main food of the pigs also.
Barley can have a great superficial extension
for its adaptability and because it's never too much.

But how is the ethanol extracted from the barley? Maybe the energy used in that process would render it unuseful.

This is really cool stuff...is Barley available over the counter as a homeopathic remedy (for lowering cholesterol) or should I just dive and do a freestyle in my nearest Barley field ?

It has an energetic gain about 34% and the produced energy is all liquid fuel for cars.
