The Environment / Car, or motorbike - which is more eco-friendly?
« on: 08/06/2010 02:27:40 »
Bikes or cars

now cars use more petrol/diesel then motorbikes. However i have to change the tires on my bike every 15k kilomerters, change the oil every 6k kilometers not to mention the break pads and all the servicing.

all in all it hits my pocket, but does it hit the enviroment as much?

oh and on my motor bike i avrage 6.5L of petrol per 100K no matter how i ride, that meen town motorway and the occasional 230 kph, pinning the exelorater on fast for long amounts of time.

i know the answer that i want but.....  i dont mind paying more if i can beat cars, and have the adrenlin rush

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / how to take the strain from my wrist's?
« on: 19/03/2010 14:52:52 »
as a biker i like going really fast, however riding through town puts most of my weight on my wrists, the faster i go the more air pushing against me the less wrist strain i feel.

go too fast, and there is too much wind against me and my arms start hurting because im holding on for dear life.

how can i work out the perfect speed to go at, when there is the perfect equilibrium between the air cushion and my weight?

oh and im 85 kg and 6ft

woman go less often yet still manage the piss quicker then blokes

10s average piss time to 35s blokes

why is this, have a race the next time your in the pub.  men go more often spend longer there annd most fail to wash there hands after.  why is this

« on: 03/03/2010 12:57:37 »
just curious, but if a virus is a bag of dna that hijacks a cell to reproduce its self, then when a virus spreads is it just the "virus" or is the infected cell that gets transmitted ?

« on: 18/02/2010 02:34:20 »
the moon makes the tides, do tides have a effect on the rotation of the earth? if so as the moon is drifting away eventually would the earth speed up, or slow down, and would we have a load of stagnant water about the place?

« on: 16/02/2010 03:48:53 »

i remember wordsworths mum using newspaper to insulate her sons room, and in the second world war, children in london had a layer of newspaper and goose grease across there chests too keep the cold out.  when they went to the country this had too be cut off and some "nice" people used to give them proper cloths, however when they went back to london there parents sold there clothes and gave them a fresh "coat" of goose greese and newspaper.  it horrified the country folk
