Dying Honeybees and Dying Bats - evidence of impending pole reversal?
« on: 02/11/2008 16:39:47 »
What do you think is behind the recent emergence of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) among the honeybees and White Nose Syndrome (WNS) among the bats in the northeastern U.S.?

Do you think the two of these are related, since they both emerged at about the same time?

Do you think the bees and bats are trying to warn us of an impending magnetic pole reversal?

Do you think wireless technology is involved? - perhaps cell phone towers, wireless internet, or HAARP? Could these technologies, at precise levels, trigger a magnetic pole reversal?

What's Causing Bats to Drop Like Flies?

"What do you think is behind the recent emergence of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) among the honeybees"
Varroa
"...White Nose Syndrome (WNS) among the bats in the northeastern U.S.?"
The white nose is unquestionably due to a fungal infaction. It's most likely that the infection is taking hold because the bats are underweight due to poor foraging conditions.

"Do you think the two of these are related, since they both emerged at about the same time?"
No, partly because 2006 wasn't the same time as 2007 but mainly because there's nothing to link them.
"Do you think the bees and bats are trying to warn us of an impending magnetic pole reversal?"
We know about the impending reversal, (though we don't know when it's due) The bats and bees probably dont so if anything we should be warning them.

"Do you think wireless technology is involved? - perhaps cell phone towers, wireless internet, or HAARP? Could these technologies, at precise levels, trigger a magnetic pole reversal?"
No.
Ever tried to get a mobile 'phone signal in a cave?
The one thing we can be sure about is that the sleeping bats are not being zapped by radio waves.

"What's Causing Bats to Drop Like Flies?"
See above.

"Is Colony Collapse the price of E.M.F progress?"
There's certainly no evidence for the idea.

You're kidding me, right? We should be warning them?

You're making a lot of assumptions here - even more than I am by what I'm suggesting.

For one thing, researchers are not sure if the bats are entering hibernation with sufficient fat stores and something happens later in the season to deplete them, or if they are entering with insufficient fat stores to begin with. Until we know that, I think you're jumping the gun here.

Secondly, white nose was documented in 2006, but since bats don't rake in any profits for us, and we, therefore, tend to take bats for granted, it was not investigated at the time - so CCD and WNS did show up on the scene at the same time, though I know that if CCD appears on a Monday and WNS appears on a Tuesday, you will likely tell me that they are (therefore) unrelated.

Did you ever try to get a mobile phone signal inside a cave? No - I did not. But did you?

And what about HAARP?

And why do you think these bats are rolling around in the snow in the middle of January like broken umbrellas?

Also, why are no other insects taking over the abandoned hives like they normally would? - that right there tells me that the bats and the bees know more than we do.

Why are you asking us then, and not the bats and bees?

...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!

1. Did you think you would get a different answer if you asked the question a second time?

Sorry, are you asking if bees and bats are falling prey to illness in order to attempt to communicate something to humans?

If so, the answer is no, of course not, that would be a stupid thing to do from the perspective of bees and bats.

It tells me that something (maybe a virus, fungus, bacteria or parasite or environmental condition) is making these hives uninhabitable. Not that bees, bats or other insects know more than we do.

"You're kidding me, right? We should be warning them? "
Well, yes, I was joking; but, as I said, we are in a position to warn them (though I doubt they would understand) On the other hand they are not in a position to warn us. After all, we already know.
It's like me trying to warn you about last week's weather.
Worse tha thay why would they "choose" to die just to warn us- what's in it for them?
