Title: What Is The Data In A Broadband Speedtest ?
Post by: neilep on 14/08/2011 19:32:41
Dearest Peeps Who Know Such A Lot,

Happy Sunday !

My PC recently underwent a bypass and now fucntions ever so well in the internet connection stakes.

To confirm this I regulary conduct (with a smug) online speed tests  [;D].....what exactly is the data that is being downloaded and then uploaded ?

Is some of the data that is downloaded left on my PC ?..because uploading is so much slower and no way is all the data that is downloaded then uploaded !

whajafink ?

Thanks

I think the test data is an image file consisting of white noise after it is uploaded it is marked as erased but can still be found if you hunt for it.
