That is without wars. Include you gambling on a nuclear war and all bets are off.

I can tell you one thing more, if it now is any comfort to you. You will be found 'sane', as defined in our Norwegian courts, all the way to the end. Small comfort, I know, but hey

Well, I think him mostly correct. He just fails to take it to the boiling point in where you stopped trusting anything. Where those protest won't stop, and the repressions will come. He's talking about a silk glove hiding the steel.

Practically speaking, If our politicians keeps producing the same things as today that silk glove will come off.

There is something I find strange going on, me finding less and less information on global warming by official sources and papers. Part of it might be that everyone is tired of seeing the same thing lifted up day and day out, without anything changing. Part of it by people not wanting to see you lose hope, what I look at as self censuring. Then there can be other pressures put upon it, aka not rocking the boat. The short of it is that you have to look actively for information those days.

Here's something about USA and CCS (Carbon capture storage)

It's one very big part of this 'Net Zero' vision that cop26 and others presented. The other is methane and hydrogen, the later something that Australia already has started to produce, promising CCS, although not delivering on its promises so far. And yes, they won't.

It's a very failed strategy. You buying hydrogen made from methane. Reminds me a lot of countries avoiding to count in the emissions their sales of fossils create by the buyers, like Norway does, or Saudi Arabia, Russia, USA etc. It's not clean in any way.

Then you have this third part of it.

'Replanting', mostly bs as far as I am concerned. We're constantly learning more and more about the dangers of that vision. It's a sort of 'natures own CCS' project, funded by us and not especially trustworthy. Although a big part of 'Net Zero' strategies.

Rewilding is different but it builds on your ability to draw back. And it's not a 'solution' to global warming. It's more about restoring eco and bio diversity, and a healthy topsoil able to contain CO2. It has the added problem of those pinpricks, wildfires, floods and droughts that are increasing in magnitude and intensity, as well as of our 'urbanization' efforts for a growing population, finding less healthy topsoil and water resources each year coming.

All in all 'Net Zero' seems more based on unfounded visions than reality.

And there you have it. The last part of why I think I find sources and information drying up. It will be the next big scandal. The one no one wants to talk about. Together with rare earths.

It all depends on how long you will believe in it. Those emperors new clothes. The longer you do, the less chance you will have, once it's found to fail. And that's also where other things taking your focus away comes in. Like wars.

In some ways nature has a mind. It 'knows' what to do, at each spot of this earth. And I'm starting to think that the same could be said of what I call the 'the game', it seems to have a almost instinctive ability of protecting itself.

I don't think you need conspiracies for it. You just need your game.

It's also a very big part of why I keep talking about us needing to change all infra structures. From transportation to your work, to your home, to your consumption. And why I keep talking about one kid per person. We need all of them to survive.
