Title: New here
Post by: Mayflow on 24/11/2014 23:00:37
Hey all. I'm interested in physics and science and pretty much everything overall and including psychiatry and philosophy as well as shamanism and world cultures and metaphysics. I didn't see an intro forum here, so I used this one. I am interested in getting to know and discuss with nice people on the forum

The subforum just above this one is called Guest Book - that's where you should have posted this. Still, I only just noticed it the other day myself and I've been here for years. On the Net, we train ourselves not to notice the uninteresting.

Well, thanks for saying Hi, I think. Didn't seem all that nice, but no one else was even decent enough to say anything to me. You may have a point about the net.

I'm not good at small talk. That was a "Hi".

I find the bits that are the most puzzling the most interesting - that's where mistakes are most likely to have been made, leaving room for radical change. (Looks up book of rules of social interaction.) How about you?

RF energy holds a lot of intrigue for me. How we can encode and transmit, receive and share information and ideas over the airwaves.

TV, Radio, internet, all that. We are using this right now, you and I. We would have never communicated if not for these modern marvels.

Maybe though it is the human mind itself that mystifies and intrigues me the most.

Ah yes, the mind. We're entering a time in which there will be an ongoing cascade of explanation coming out about the organisation of the processes going on in the brain, so it's going to be fascinating to watch this happen.
