That is very similar to the Grace Project.

The fallacy is that it is the gravity of earth as measured from space which isn't the same as the gravity as measured from the surface.

So, the Alps, Andes, Rockies, Himalayas, etc...  all show up with higher gravity from space, but lower gravity from the surface of the planet.
