Is there any plausable scientific reason for a female to have a prominent adams-apple?

I really hope so.

what if they are taking testosterone? surely it will cause the growth of a bigger voivebox as they become more 'manly'. Could it also not actually be the adams apple and possibly be the thyroid gland which has swollen - might indicate an iodine deficiency? Ignore me, i'm no expert...

adam's apple is usually due to constant shouting and speaking in loud voice it can be operated.

Well in a woman shouldn't it be called an Eve's apple?  Oh no, that's right, Eve's version of apple was considered the original sin.
