You're not going to believe this. I emailed to my congresswoman and explained the problem some chronic pain patients are having which leads to suicide. She called the police and told them I'm suicidal and they put me in a psyche ward for a week. While there I learned I'm bipolar.
I've decided to give up the stigma associated with such a diagnoses.
Good on you for ‘coming out’ and helping reduce that stigma.
How did you really "learned" you were "bipolar"? Have they not strongly suggested that possibility to you?
I've been in that same pyche ward many times due to the problem I had with pain and the depression it came with. The doctor knows me from the past. I actually thought I was bipolar but my PCP said I wasn't.
Why on Earth would you accept that pseudoscientific methodology to convince you of being "bipolar" ?
Also they put me on lithium and it made a huge difference.
Well, all I can do is hope the best for you, pmb. But please bear in mind that being stuck permanently with lithium may severely harm/injure your health.
The study authors are calling for a new systematic review of acetaminophen's effectiveness and safety, saying that the medication's true risks are "higher than that currently perceived in the clinical community." The cited side effects appear similar to those of NSAIDs.
Pete, you would be better on your worst day than most others on their best.
I'm aware that all medications carry risk. And they held a group meeting to make sure we know about it. They prescribe meds based on whether the reward is greater than the risk. So if it keeps me from killing myself and/or makes life worth living then the reward is far greater than the risk. A friend of mine (a physicist who used to teach particle physics at Tufts University) explained how much it did for him.
She called the police and told them I'm suicidal and they put me in a psyche ward for a week.
Since when has suicide, or more to the point, thinking about suicide, been a crime? When was the Boston Thought Police Department founded?
Look bro. Did you ever bother to ask the question who should really profit from selling you this pseudoscientific bipolar nonsense?
I don't know, but if you have serious/chronic pain condition, lithium won't help for that.
You really need to consider the evidences of your chronic pain condition and not some unfounded claims on your mental health.
