Title: Getting rid of trash
Post by: syhprum on 22/09/2009 20:44:03
While experimenting with the effect of various video codecs on Windows 7600 (some of which ruin the operation MkDVD operation ) I wanted an escape route so that I could get back to square zero without reloading the whole system.
To this end I made a copy of Windows on the HD and labeled it Windows-x so that by acessing the HD from another drive I could replace the damaged system quickly.
This worked fine and I repeated the operation several times quite successfully but now I am stuck with 8GB of unwanted Windows on the drive that I cannot get rid of !!!!

There are automated methods of doing the above.

I got fed up after trying everything I could think of and hit the format button, I have two drives each with two partitions each with a different OS and each with a copy of all the programs from CD,s and internet downloads that I might need so I can risk experimenting with Little danger of a wipeout.
Usually XP gets to be safe.

You could probably just make a System Restore mark.
