Anon asked the Naked Scientists:
I'm 35 yrs old and have had to do 2 IVF procedures where a total of 20 eggs were aspirated. Only 6 eggs were successfully fertilised but their implantation regrettably did not result in pregnancies.
My question is: since a woman will only produce a certain amount of ovulae during her life, does undergoing IVF procedures bring forward your menopause by virtue of the fact that you are depleting your eggs faster?
Are IVF procedures directly linked to cervical cancer?
Many thanks & kind regards,
Anon
