Title: What will you be doing for your easter hols?
Post by: dentstudent on 06/04/2009 16:45:03: We've got 4 days to do family stuff over the next weekend (dread...... [;)]). Since it's a nice 70°F [8D], we were thinking about going camping. However, the weather looks as though it's going to be pants just in time for the weekend (typical, eh? [>:(]), so what alternatives would you suggest? What're you lot going to be doing?

I am trying to catch up on all the things i dont usually have time for when I am at uni.

They moved down from Idaho 8 weeks ago and have now decided to go back to Idaho.. The kids hate the school and miss their dad.. Mom and Dad split up so they have never been far from Dad and it is proving to be too tough the poor sweethearts.. I don't blame them.. I think it is important to stay close to Daddy also regardless of the split!

But overall the mood has turned very good so we are thinking of this trip as a great vacation and now we have a couple days to say goodbye and get them back home.. but this time with a U-Haul.. LOL Bless their hearts! [:X] [:)]

By the way It is 12:57 PM and it is 80 degrees F. Here today!

LOL!!! Well I managed to get paint all over me even before his interference!!! He looked worse than me though.. lol

Post by: Karen W. on 07/04/2009 09:50:07: Ended up getting up to 85 degrees F. here today..Hope it lasts for the holiday.. but they is a chance of catching the tail end of some system coming in tomorrow may shower a bit! Temp is guessed to drop15 degrees tomorrow.. Hope they are wrong.

Yes I am insane, I thought you would have realised that by now! Well my other 2 do some of the painting too as part of being the famil unit, so my little one thinks he should join in too! Thankfully he usually loses interest after a little while and I just go over what he has done lol

yes there are places to go around my home.

Depending on the weather, which like dentstudent's German weather is nice now, similar to happen here, wet, wet over the Easter hols. grr@that lol lol

Post by: DrN on 11/04/2009 16:48:24: OK, to answer the main question: cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, hoovering, tidying, sorting, taking assorted ~~rubbish~~ interesting items to the charity shop, cleaning and sanding 4 wheels ready for spraying, mowing the lawn, cleaning the car, sorting out the paperwork, paying the council tax, searching for the best car insurance quote, getting my eyes tested, going into town to get Craig Charles and/or Robert Llewellyn to sign something for my brothers birthday pressie.

As its saturday already, I think I'm justified in adding that I've already sanded the garden furniture, set up sky+ remote access and visited a friend from uni who I've not seen in 7 years (and she now has a husband and 2 kids I'd not met before!)

As for Easter. I've just been for a lovely walk in the bluebells, picture will follow and then to the pub for lamb shanks. Don't tell Neil. I'm back to my dust ridden house now. When the builders knocked the walls down my son can home and skidded on his knees through all the dust on the wood floor. He was in his school uniform at the time. He got such a roasting for it. Boys will be boys and 3 year olds will be helpful but messy!

I should add to the list: teak-oil the patio furniture, pay the PAYE/NIC, buy crickets, take garden waste to the dump.
