    There are some conditions where a regular heart rate might be considered a sign of a heart problem, but the majority of dangerous heart conditions are marked by an irregular heart rate.

    Some items that may bring some attention...
    It never hurts to have a series checkup on the ole ticker no matter what age... In good physical shape or not

    Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) http://www.a-fib.com/Overview.htm
    Personal knowledge I received from a Cardiologist,  it can cause small blood clots that can lead to a stroke.

    Ventricular tachycardia (V-Tach) http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/159075-overview
    Personal knowledge I received, in a rare short burst a V-Tach it feels uphoric something like a love heart throb.
    Longer durations will be uncomfortable
