What I Like About Cats

Cats are forgiving. Yesterday I thought my cat would be angry at me for the rest of her life after trying to attach a harness to her. She was ok with the straps around her frame, but... but when I attached the cord she was scared shitless. She must have thought that a living thing (such as a snake) was attached to her. She was angry at me and hood from me for the rest of the day. But come morning, she was all affectionate and acted like the horror event never took place.

i found my cat was like a horse learning to be halter broke....
My cat hated it so the first day I petted her with the halter... rubbed her with i and the next day I played with it with her.. dangling it for her etc... wrapping it over her and letting her play with it. Next day I put it on her and then kept holdinh her petting her with it on.....the next day I put it on her and petted her some but then allowed her down to walk... then used her leash to get her to play with it on. then let her continue to wear it untill I went to bed!Next day she just wore it and eventually we worked up to the leash attached.... She never did like trying to walk on the leash!
I wish you good luck!

They are funny for the most part!
There are also many cats that tend towards the neurotic side though! More so then most dogs I have met!

Cats are insane.....they sit in the sunny spot indoors and bake themselves, yet when its hot outside they sit in the shade!
Mine look through the catflap when its dark outside!!Not only is the catflap frosted, but its dark out!!!
They are also capable of transportation to the 5th dimension, because they are no where to be seen, then you turn around and they appear curled up on the sofa like they have been there for hours!!!

I tried to use a harness on my first cat but he managed to squeeze out of it and ran off in fear then ignored for a bit.
I have never tried to use something artificial on such independent animals.
As to the catflap I keep it closed at night-time because I don't want the foxes to hurt them again, yes they are loving and so cuddly that is one of their many quirks that makes them individual and similar but special
(Karen they are fine now)

Rosalind Franklin was my first cousin and one my life's main regrets is that I never met this brilliant and beautiful lady.
She discovered the Single DNA Helix in 1953, then it was taken by Wilkins without her knowledge or agreeement.

I am happy they are fine now Rosalind...I bet that is a relief to you too, given how very much you love them and care for them.
