Is kombucha good for losing weight? I was read many times on the internet about kombucha. People say it is good for weight loss and detoxification, but it is also said that it contains a lot of laxative effects which can cause stomach cramps. There is mixed opinion of people on it. What are your thoughts about it?

If it (or anything else) had actually been shown to be good for losing weight the discovery would have been all over the headlines of every newspaper in the world.
There is a risk, as with most "home brewed" products. You might get the wrong microorganisms growing in it.

I avoid added sugar products. There are reports of weight gain due to the added sugar, also when combined with the acidity it’s not good for teeth. There are reports of some people suffering liver toxicity.
Personally I would avoid it completely.

I was amazed first by reading its weight loss benefits, but its adverse side effects scared me, especially liver and kidney toxicity.

They are not real.

In short, it is better to avoid it then.

Anything will help you lose weight if it is either so disgusting that you don't eat it, or laxative.
IMHO kombucha meets both criteria, though it is usually served heavily sweetened and therefore useless.

If you like the drink, I'm not going to say you shouldn't drink it.
But it won't help you lose weight.
Anything will help you lose weight if it is either so disgusting that you don't eat it, or laxative.
Also, if it's so expensive that you can't afford as much food...
Don't think that applies in this case.
