Are all theist groups alike? Are all atheists alike?

This thread is to cover the digression in the non theist, non atheist thread.
Are all theists who are generally called religious alike?
I say no, I am not alike a Basque separatist or a Northern Irish terrorist or like a Muslim terrorist...
We do not burn witches, stone adulterers or hate heretics or papists or advocate or accept extremity. I did not study English history, I am Australian, but did look a bit into Hungarian history.
The Catholic church went into error in the about the 8th century at the time of the challenge from Islamic forces... they admit to it and revise, self correct. Since repentance is part of Christianity. The Catholic church has acted too slowly. It was extreme, once using Roman pagan punishment on heretics. Extremity is a sin. St Paul warned us of such teachings.
Jesus revised Moses' Law and gave us grace and truth, a free way. Jesus centres around love, compassion, healing, justice, mercy, grace, and light. We Christians have slipped a lot, but Christ is our rock. I think we have a better way than the other religions, and we prefer to be spiritual more than religious.
Moses' Law has a different purpose for Christians compared to Jews. Not just words but grace and spirituality for us, unlike with Jews and Muslims. Hinduism is quite different. Buddhism also, quite different. I am sure Christ as a rock is more than just old text.
We Christians have a real historical character with known values. His example of love exceeds any other described character I know. He worked for us, not us him. Other faiths have mythology... laws, but not the ongoing themes of God's presence and goodness to the chosen people, and in Paul and Peter and John is a choosing of anyone, with the same themes. Same author.
I think it is dangerous if a man claiming to be a prophet is PM or President. Theocracy won't work until Christ returns.
It is time for secularists to revise too. As progression now looks like parts of Nazism and Communism, with abortion, selecting which child can live, euthanasia, feelings more valued than life, and the thought of opening Israel up saying it is an apartheid state. Potential restriction on free speech. Rights and freedoms in question. Money and feelings most valued. And a really crabby sense of peace. Progression best take a turn.
Atheists are not all alike are they. Some have morals, some are hedonists, but I do not know what they anchor on.

You seem to think that "atheists" are a group in the way that "Catholics" are.
It's more like a group of football players.
Why would you expect them to be the same?

In 1000 years time Christ will still be coming back "any day now."
