[ Invalid Attachment ]
Now I know all the usual stuff, eat veg, fruit, less red meat, more fish (mackeral, salmon..the oily stuff)...more exercise etc....
...but is there a fruit or veg that also actively aids to reduce fat in a person ?
I've often heard that cabbage and onion soup is something which people undergoing heart surgery are often told to eat to aid in the loss of weight before surgey......is this true ?...is there something special in this combination that helps to burn it off ?...what about celery ?
Your weight reducing comments would be most welcome
THANK...hugs and shmishes

Please read. There is more:

Cabbage Soup Diet 7 Days Plan - Lose Weight Fast and Easy
The Soup Diet is based on a fat-burning soup that contains negligible calories. The more soup you eat the more weight you should lose. It allows people to eat as much Cabbage Soup as they want each day, which should sound appealing to dieters. After all, dieters love to hear that they can eat unlimited amounts of food and still lose weight fast.
The Diet relies on eating strange and bizarre combinations of food that nearly force you to starve each day. Dieters are allowed all the water and cabbage soup they want, plus a very restricted set of other foods.
A running myth suggests that this diet originated at any number of hospitals, but thus far, no medical facilities have claimed it as their own. Consensus is that the diet is effective for temporarily losing a few pounds. However, this is not a very nutritionally sound plan and certainly not one to live on.
As with any other diet, care is required and you should consult your doctor if you have any health concerns.

I am not convinced of the safety invoved in that oue. But I know if you eat lots of leafy greens they are fiberous and go right through you.. that helps along with smaller amounts of your meat etc. fibrous beans can be added instead of meat.. proteins like peanuts and other nuts... in etc. in their place. LOL Like you sid those are the usual stuff.
I don't know of one food that would do it.. but mega loads of salad really helped me to loose weight.. sometimes I ate three big salads... but would be careful what I put on it... I would sprinkle a tad of grated cheese, a spoonful or too of unsalted sunflower seeds, sometimes Thousand island Dressing and I did not worry bout the calories in it because All I was eating was a salad.. with a few cut up little chunks of chicken or bacon, or ham. Now I don't mean a serving I mean cubed up like pea sized pieces then tons of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, if I had it, and onions.carrots, most Vegetables. The cheese was grated and only enough to sprinkle a bit over the salad.
I ate as much salad as I liked really limiting the cheese and meats to a very small amount. It was delicious!and it was good and healthy!

During the time period last year that I was losing weight....the time in which I was doing it correctly and not starving myself AND losing the most I did as Karen said above. I ate loads of salads....probably with every meal except breakfast.
Something else that was good was having pineapple, grapefruits and lemons. I LOVE grapefruits mixed with lemons. I generally would have at least one of these a day as a snack....sometimes more. I have heard that these three are beneficial in burning fat. I don't know how true it is, but I lost a great deal of weight while enjoying them.
Good luck!

I've heard that when you eat celery you use as much energy or maybe more disgesting it than you get out of it. Cabbage and onion soup may be a similar concept
