I found this rock last summer and now I have decided to find out what kind of rock is it. I think it could be pyrite, but as I dont' have any knowledge in rocks and minerals, I can't be sure. So can anyone tell me more about this rock?

pyrite forms cubes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrite#Distinguishing_similar_minerals), gold doesn't.

is the mineral metallic? Sometimes different types of mica can have a metallic sheen.
