Title: To degrease cycle brake pads?
Post by: Europan Ocean on 01/10/2020 10:49:08
I bought water resistant grease for my cycle, and applied it to my chain. But some went onto my front disk brake and I tried cleaning it, but I need advice on how to fully remove it. The brake doesn't properly work as is.

For the disk itself you could use alcohol or a degreasant. The pads are a problem to clean, either replace or try putting some wet&dry carborundum paper on a flat surface eg glass and roughen up the surface - ideally, replace.

I think I will spend ten dollars on automotive brake de-greaser.
