Title: Incorrect Hypothyroid Diagnosis??
Post by: cruzin4us on 08/11/2005 20:03:31
Hi all,

Have any of you experienced some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism such as fatigue, memory loss, weight gain, depression, constipation, yada yada but tested within the normal range.  I've had my thyroid tested numerous times but I always come back within the normal range (whatever that is).

I'm curious if some Doctor's will go ahead and treat this anyway with a low dosage of whatever it is they prescribe because maybe my "range" isn't normal.

Let me know if any of you have similar experiences.

Thanks,
Laurie

Yes, I too experience many hypothyroidism symptoms -- yet my test results have invariably indicated figures within the "normal range", therefore, my endocrinologist has determined it best not prescribe any medication.
