This seems to be one of the problems,, which my Doctor has said, that is causing some problems.. IF YOU KNOW MORE THEN ME AND I know you do.. please explain.. this condition and how it could effect my already diagnosed heart problems..aorta regurgitation,  left ventrical problems sclerosis of the aorta,, and an ascending 4.5 centimeter aneurysm, 2 bacterial pneumonias(( respiratory) infections, Hashimotos...? I am also having trouble with my liver and kidney...counts.... they are both elevataed.. have stopped some pain meds as they said my liver isn't getting rid of it....

Any suggestions for self help would be appreciated.... any one who knows something helpful about this syndrome, I would like to know more.... is this indeed an auto immune disease and  why is it so controvercial??? My Doctor seems to say yes it is.. but most of what I have found is about ten years old!  Have they any more clarity about this problem these days...?

There is no specific test for CFS: it is a diagnosis of exclusion.
As your heart, thyroid, liver and kidney conditions can all cause chronic fatigue, then your CFS diagnosis is surprising.

Hypothyroidism can cause psychiatric symptoms.
The level of thyroid hormone in your blood can be measured, if it is too low it can be supplemented by thyroid hormone tablets.

 RD...Does that include confusion and forgetting how to stand on my toes or on one foot!

This morning after Picking my son up and driving him to work at 4:45 am.. I went to turn my high beams down to low.. but drew a blank.. I could not do it... I have been driving all my life and I couldn't remember how to do it.. I knew to do it but when I looked at the panel.. I drew a blank it looked like a foreign item... Scared the hee-bee-gee-vee's out of me! I had to call him back out of his truck and try to explain what was wrong he had to tell me how to do it.. I taught him how to drive....

Impaired memory
Impaired cognitive function (brain fog) and inattentiveness
Anxiety/panic attacks
Irritability and mood instability
Acute psychosis (rare)

OK.. Well Isn't that supposed to clear when being treated.. I have been treated for a long long time!

It would be possible that with time increased supplement would be necessary, your doctor (endocrinologist) will tell you if this is necessary by testing your blood for the level of thyroxine.

Aging, other medications, and changes in weight and general health can affect how much replacement hormone a patient needs, and regular TSH tests are used to monitor hormone levels. Patients should not switch from one brand of thyroid hormone to another without a doctor's permission.

They check my levels regularly with blood draws.. I seem to be in a safe range and on the proper dosage.
 I just thought that some of the symptons would go away once treated for a long term.. but I still have many of the symptoms although I know other things could also be causing them too!
