Hayley asked the following question:
I have read on the internet that neuroplasticity and fish oils can cure or help you overcome or reverse learning difficulties. Is all of this true?
Can you help Hayley out?

Neuroplasticity is something that happens to all our brains, we are constantly changing and adapting. In extreme cases it is possible for the brain to adapt eg following a stroke and to effectively rewire areas to take on new functions.
Fish oils won’t make much difference to learning difficulties, but a trained, patient teacher can guide someone through learning. It requires careful analysis of the problem areas and patient repetition of key skills with plenty of positive feedback.
Don’t let anyone con you with alternative therapies, you need a trained teacher specialising in learning difficulties.

Fish oils may make some difference- if the problem is a shortage of something which can be found in fish oil.
How likely is that?

You’re right, with a balanced diet there is unlikely to be a problem, but supplementing can bring its own problems.
