Nice engineering.
I presume it didn't work, or I would have heard.

"We had to find new methods of fabrication".
Is that for the financiers?

The video was posted in January 2019, promised power-delivery within the next year.

If there had been success I think they'd be hiring:
they're not ... https://www.linkedin.com/company/viziv-technologies/jobs

As Tesla's publicity photos were a trick, (double exposure),
& he was nutty as a fruitcake, I would not rely on his account of events.

It is a shame there is so much fake news and disinformation on the internet and in movies these days. On the other hand if you dig deep enough truth can be found. I had the opportunity to investigate Viziv Technologies and their technical work for a small California University and found the work to be quite good and necessary. This Texas tower and underground laboratory is a research facility. It is not the actual site for wireless power transmission. The scientific principals, mathematics and mechanical construction techniques are being developed and tested there. Wireless power needs a source of power. I suggest you look for power stations around the world that have a similar structure connected to them, if you want to see the real action. Remember the goal of wireless power is to ship electrons not molecules. As for not hiring people, the technical world is no longer tech giants. It is the world of partners, consultants, and farming out projects. Global wireless power is already reality.

You mean in the old days there were no movies that were based on fiction?  Were the Keystone Cops depicting real life events?

Huh?  Do you think wireless power sends out streams of electrons to appliances?

It certainly is.

And any claim that Tesla's "tower of power" is making comeback is an example.
