I would argue that it cannot be done. As has been said before, the digital version would have to be an exact copy of your own brain. But what happens if you create the copy while you are still alive? If your mind is still your own, then what is in the computer must simply be a copy and not really "you". Whether you are alive or dead at the time of copying doesn't change that. The copy might even fully believe it is you, but it isn't. It's just a copy. You could theoretically create any number of copies this way, all believe they are the original.

Yes, I've heard this before myself. If I recall correctly, there have been searches for such "doubling" of galaxies (the light traveling around the universe in one direction to get to us and then around the other direction as well, giving the illusion of two galaxies where there is only one). I don't think anything definitive has been found.

Amino acids are not "a type of carbon". Graphite and diamond and both types of carbon, but molecules that contain other elements like nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen are not. They are compounds.

If you have a substance, dissolve it in water, and the resulting solution has a pH below 7, then it is an acid. You can get into deeper details than that, like specific kinds of acids like Lewis acids, Bronsted-Lowry acids and Arrhenius acids.

Some meteorites have been found to have sugars in them, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are other planets that have some amount of sugar delivered by meteorites. If you want to harvest that, I would strongly recommend growing your own sugar cane instead. It would be far more practical and profitable.

How so? Light doesn't experience length contraction and the speed of the device itself is so low that length contraction shouldn't be an issue.

Right, the current relativity does not have explanation for it.

It isn't supposed to, not any more than it's supposed to explain why sugar is sweet.

Having said that, if there is a preferred frame than the force between electron and proton varies based on the hydrogen atom speed in the preferred frame as shown in the thought experiment.
When the hydrogen atom slows down in the preferred frame the force is stronger and the electron is pulled to lower energy state. Suddenly 'spontaneous' emission has a cause.
The 'relativity' anchored in the preferred frame can explain the emissions.

There is no preferred frame. The isotropy of the speed of light has been demonstrated to extremely high precision.
