Title: Quiz strategy
Post by: ekc on 02/12/2005 20:49:59
I noticed in that last podcast that the number of questions per caller had dropped to one; yet, well under half of participants were hearing the bell of victory, nonetheless.  Admittedly, I was doing no better trying to answer them in my head.

Perhaps a change of tactics is in order?  Maybe people should give the opposite answer to what their instincts tell them, or simply flip a coin to see if there is an improvement?  Experimentation...isn't that what science is all about?  [:)]

I am glad to say that as of June, 2006 the quiz is back up to 3 questions. I was dismayed when it went to 2 questions, and sometimes even 1. What is the point of so few questions? With 3 questions you can rank players, with 2 there are too many ties, and with 1, well its not even a game then is it?

Thanks for bringing back 3 questions, it is my favorite part of living, getting to play along.

When the new website comes up you will be able to pit your wits against all the questions that have been asked so far on the website. This will happen in somewhere between 1 and 3 weeks depending on how many bugs chris finds in my code.
