Title: Fatty Carboxylic Acid

What does the structure of this look like again . I know it contains carbon, hyrdogen etc. right?

There are thousands of different fatty acids.. saturated (containing no carbon double bonds) and unsaturated (containing carbon double bonds)

R-COOH is the generic structure (double bond to one O and single OH bond) where R can quite literally be any combination of hydrocarbon including halides, amines etc. , even just H (methanoic acid).

I think they are only considered 'fatty' acids when they have medium to long carbon chains.
