Seeing this thread again, has made me re-evaluate all my old
stuff...this silly little saucy ditty I wrote when I was just
16....MANY years ago...and is seen here untouched ........so,
apologies in advance !!!
THE PARTY
The party started off so well
There was John Jack Jane and Jill
Not forgetting me as well
Suddenly I heard the bell
I answered it and well
Would you believe it
It was Mary Mandy William and Nell
"Well where the Hell have you been" I said
"We've been at Wills" said Mary "in bed "
"All four of you well well" I said
Then once again the bell rang more
So of I went to answer the door
And would you believe it , it was Paula and Paul
"It's such a long time since you have called"
"Well we've been busy haven't we Paul ?"
"Oh I see, no need to explain any more"
So off we went and had some fun
It was really great YOU should have come
But if you did , don't tell your mum
So anyway, half of us went naked and dived in the pool
It was really good the water was cool
Splishing and splashing using every tool
To know our situation it wouldn't take a fool
Hell we made an awful din
Though it would have been better
If the girls joined in !!!

Okay, finally putting poetry where it belongs...thanks Neil!
Love’s Betrayal
Romantic love, the kind wherein partners become lost to each other,
is a falling towards expression of lovers. Lovers choose a way,
making a decision to find themselves together. A rare gift that
goes beyond the boundaries of religion or materialism, romantic
love inspires the psyche with profound motivations for life.
Lovers are no longer in solitude; their solitude rather is enriched
by the mere presence of the other. Life becomes a journey shared,
and the destination is but the fulfillment of love. Each moment is
unveiled in glory, and mystery upon mystery of love is revealed.
Lovers discover that the yearning they once possessed in silent is
now answered through each other’s existence.
Romantic love is not an idealism professed, it is a transcendent
tryst. Lovers shape, and become shaped in turn, by the act of
devotion they share. Lovers see, and know, and feel the world to
have somehow been changed. A sanctuary is created wherein their
hearts may dwell.
As they change, lovers choose to change together, choose to re-make
the world within the image of love they hold. As they change not
together, then there is a falling away from love. Love is no longer
the center of life’s expression for them. And love has been betrayed.
Lovers chose to risk the hardness of heart sometimes experienced in
the world and ventured for the potential of loving vulnerability.
The betrayal of love becomes a process of grief, the sanctuary of
lovers is thrown down in dismay, and the gates shut. The dull ache
of betrayal to one’s inner being is the realization of being an
individual in solitude once more.
Disillusionment with the possibility of love arises. The reflections
upon the once shared world seem bitterly unrealistic. Now all that
remains is for the individual to understand, and accept, that life
does not fall apart, it merely falls into fresh patterns. This
acceptance of life, however, is dependent as well upon the
acknowledgement that love is the only realistic answer to an
unrealistic world. And what can be learned is that love sometimes
exists in contradictions.

2nd piece..
A New Day Has Begun
As seconds slip into minutes...time is stealing away into hours that have gone by. Looking out the window, watching the sun slip sadly into the horizon, reaching out with its tender, subtle rays....it caresses my face, tempting me to go outside to hold onto its gentle warmth.
Another day has gone. Night has begun its slow dance across the sky. Watching the moon glowing with stars in the background draping over its fragile shoulders. Night romancing the stars filling in the background with it's slow, graceful, moves embracing the night sky.

3rd Piece...
innocent seduction
imagining the crescent moon of his lips upon mine,
in-forms nightly wakefulness.
as light dances across his blue eyes,
he remains a vision solely for me.
he names me partner;
without him i would be nameless.
his gleaming, radiant smile enchanting,
he sparks something of joy within.
the way he moves re-turns earthly grace,
creating that deep ensouled peace.
night deep hair falls across his eyes to shade them from knowing,
embracing him but scant fulfillment of my desires.

This 4th piece was written when I was in love with this man...lol
Denny's Dream
I heard your gentle voice whispering while walking through a field of dreams
Like falling raindrops pitter, pattering saying my love, we make a fine team.
So I hold you close in warm embrace,
Where happiness and joy enlace.
Just you and me here in this beautiful place,
Where spring flowers do grace.
In a field of dreams forever it seems with you by my side words cannot describe
This exciting feeling within me the gloominess I put aside as I walked along thinking of you in this field of dreams.
The twinkle in your eyes has faded and left a lonely heart in its place
the essence of a dream being in your presence is a picture in my mind,
a memory which leaves etched the smile upon your face.
Leave a lingering trace In my mind and heart until then I knew
You are a dream I know has come true.
The cheeks of a face are like a rose
The tears from eyes are like the rain
Tears of joy...
Tears of pain...
We must go through this weather of life
With many things to learn
And many things to gain
For as you know
A rose will always need the rain.

Here is something you romantic peeps will like I am sure...lol
5th piece
Romance is like a diamond
But romance has different facets not measured in carats, cut, color, or clarity.
One only needs time to discover each side of love in its uniqueness.
Romance is just not found in people, but in your atmosphere!
You may think How? Where is my ... atmosphere of Romance?
Is there fire, water, and air?
Fire to keep it burning within and all around.
Water to keep it going and flowing through.
Air to keep it alive, like oxygen is needed to breathe.
Atmosphere is wherever and whatever you make it.
It can be a bitter cold wind nipping your cheek don't mask it within like a robe
keeping out the wind.
An ocean mist kissing your cheek, as you reflect on long lost love somewhere
which has not yet found you while walking along a beach.
A fireplace with such intensity it as if you are dancing among the flames
and are carefree with abandonment of your heart!
I have learned to expand my knowledge in this area...without a man to
learn to listen to the wind as it had wooed me when I was in
Jamaica while watching the sunrise on the beach before me showing off
her pretty arms of rays! Gently caressing my cheek softly with her warmth
and her gentleness.
Losing oneself into the edges of romance drifting in and out as a long
winter's sleep. I wake up and find romance is just sitting there.

The moment
He walking into the room, and started to talk to some friends. Some he knew from days of old, and some were strangers to him. There were interesting people, and boring people; there were pretty girls and ugly girls, and one by one they passed before him. Then, for a moment he saw a face in the distance. He did not know the face, and yet it seemed familiar, like he had always known her; or at least, that he should have always known her. It was not a pretty face, just a plain ordinary face, and yet the eyes were full of life, but yet there was a hint of sadness within them. He was intrigued. Had he met her before. He could not remember, but he was sure he would not have forgotten her if he had. He walked across to her and introduced himself. They started to talk, but he cannot recall what they spoke about, for he heard her voice, smelt her fragrance, and saw her eyes, but knew nothing of the rest of the world. She smiled, and then laughed, and became the more beautiful with each laugh. Occasionally his eyes would wonder down her body as she wriggled with laughter and animated conversation. Every inch of her burned into his minds eye, and the fragrance of her was so powerful it was dizzying. In his mind, he had long ago undressed her, or maybe she have never been dressed, for it seemed to him that she had always been as naked and vulnerable as the day she was born. She reached out, and for a moment her hand touched his skin, and for that moment time stood still, while his heart raced ahead. As that moment passed, he reached out to grab her hand, to prevent that moment from passing; but somehow he stopped himself, and his hand never reached her. The spoke and laughed, and his eyes never left her, and the world around them was not there. Then her friend came and spoke to her a moment. She apologised, but said she had to leave. She turned to leave, and turned around one more time, held his gaze for maybe just a few moments, smiled, then turned again, and walked out of his life.
His friend came to talk to him, but he could not talk. For a moment he had dreamt he was in heaven, and now nothing in the world seemed real. He excused himself, and left the party. Maybe when he awoke in the morning, this dream, like so many other dreams of the night, will vanish into the unreality. Maybe sanity will return with the dawn. But right now, the dream of but a few moments ago was the only reality that he could see.

I posted this in another forum, but it's one of my faves.
This was written by my son 6 years ago. He was 7.
Mom
She is fair and good
And not a jerk but kind
She knows what is best
He's smart and talented.
