Title: Android 7.0 will not update

I have an HTC Desire 650, with Android 7.0, it is new, but it will not update or run facebook. It says there is no update and facebook needs the latest version to open, over it appears a window giving: error, try again later.

Advise given suggests it is no longer supported.
