Title: Spooky?
Post by: yor_on on 07/09/2012 18:57:26
An expanding Kardashev III scale civilization.  (http://io9.com/5923493/behold-the-bootes-void-the-spookiest-place-in-the-cosmos)

Can I be the first to greet our new universal overlords?

"Hi Guys!"

yes, very strange indeed........

It sucks, I was born too late to live during the beginnings of civilizations
to have been alive during one of the early empires..................................................
and too early to one day venture out there......LOL

We need to set up a watch on our sun. I don't want anyone to build a shell around it. They may like it, but I won't !!!

Ha ha, I bet there is someone in a Kardashev III civilisation saying the very same thing when observing a Kardashev IV civilisation.

I'm flabbergasted nobody seems to take this seriously? We need a watch I say, if nothing is done I, personally, will have to write to the papers. Act, not talk !!!

Perhaps it was merely a warp drive experiment gone awry.
Sucking the inventor's homeworld into oblivion.
And sucking in everything for 250 million light years!

No doubt the government managed the entire area into oblivion. They've never failed to fail before!

Perhaps it was a rogue physicist at a CERN-like facility that Created a mini black hole (http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/black-hole-worries-physicists-allay-fears-of-the-end-of-the-world-a-570487.html) that continued to grow and grow and grow.

This is why I find TNS comforting, we are having real brain storms. Mini black holes created by institutionally insane bureaucracies create the climate we observe, only a few seven hundred million light years from Earth. Quite near us in fact, considering a infinite universe.

So what can we do? Except warn the innocents?
