I think you're confusing psychiatric problems with conventional psychology. Psychology in general does not limit itself to mental disorders.

But for sure, I'll shoot that person.

If you commit murder you go to jail for the rest of your life and lose everything in the process. I would not shoot that someone else, because i'm profoundly a pacific person. Note that I'm not opposed to the right to own weapons for self-defense only!

Hi Nimmie,

1.Supposing I was cloned,would my clone have my consciousness,that is, would he know he is/was me or would he have another consciousness.

I really don't think human consciousness depends on the brain to exist. Therefore it is likely that your clone would have its own consciousness and memories. Reductionism fails to coherently explain the role of the brain in human consciousness.

2. Supposing I was hit with a big hammer and did not die but suffer from a serious amnesia loosing all of my memories. Now loosing my memories would include all my beliefs, how to put on my shoes, cloths or even how to read and write, meaning all my experiences gone.....does that mean i am no longer conscious of myself. Relating it to religion, lets say I was a christian and due to the amnesia I suffered, I do not even remember anything about my beliefs, how is God going to judge that?

If God exist, he should remember each of us independently of our current status.

Lastly, I believe strongly consciousness is the proof I have absolute free will.

I had a difficult time a number of years ago and since then I have had frequent nightmares about the event. The nightmares are so real that when I awake I am terrified and my head hurts! If I am affected badly by this particular nightmare why does my brain choose to re-run it over and aver again?

Reexperiencing a traumatic event into a recurrent nightmare is fairly common for PTSD patients. Lucid Dreaming Therapy (LDT) and medications may help for treating PTSD-associated nightmares.
