There are programs available that enable you to conceal a text file within a picture or music file and retrive it with a password.

You can convert a picture into sound (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S64FROErFYA&feature=related) or make sound from a picture. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8MCAXhEsy4&feature=related)
Typically both sound unmusical, and not otherwise related, e.g.
if you convert a picture of President Obama to sound it doesn't play "hail to the chief (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/82/United_States_Air_Force_Concert_Band_-_Hail_to_the_Chief.ogg)", or vice versa.

Funnily enough, last night I watched the latest BBC Horizon program and in it was a section where a blind woman was using a phone App that converted the video input from the camera into sound, which she was then able to interpret 'visually'.
It clearly seemed to work, as she was able to identify different types of features, such as horizontal and vertical lines, vertical structures, foliage and people with high accuracy. The example that really sticks in my mind was to identify, while traveling in a cab and just holding the phone up to the window, the London Eye as something "curved with dots around it", which I though was pretty good considering it looked to be somewhere between half a mile to a mile away.
The sound she was listening to was not too unlike the sound, in character, in that OP link.

I think this is the "seeing with sound" system used with mobile phone ...
Blue Edge Bulgaria has developed a simplified but highly portable mobile phone version of The vOICe for the Nokia 3650 camera phone.

When I worked for MUIRHEAD in the seventies on facsimile machines for transmitting newspaper pictures there was no real time display of the pictures so we always used to listen to pictures coming thru to get an idea of how they were progressing.
When I moved to HELL at Kiel I missed this facility as none of their scanners had sound systems
