Stumped! :(

Are you 1) missing part of one of one of your limbs?

2.) sitting on the part of a tree left in the ground?

           3.) a very short midget?

WELL ????????????????????????????????????

Africa is the best bet for the earliest. The origin in Africa is probably unbeatable. With the plethora of prehuman predecessors in it, Africa is the best guess in the ongoing nearly settled  discussions.

It  cannot be avoided.  Entropy can be blamed.

Life is combined of ordered chemical processes.

What is its weight? does it "feel" heavy? At first glance kooks like wood  ... BUT ...?

Geology, Palaeontology & Archaeology / Re: Could this be pottery? Also some cool little fossils
« on: 15/08/2016 04:06:22 »
Looks like rock to me. But the surface markings look to be on the surface and not part of the rock itself. The "purple thing only works if this purple thing is what was pulled out of the rock. Now this purple thing becomes a piece of rock then becomes a piece of a bigger rock is a part of a large part, the conglomerate.

Let us know what you mean by the "rock" and the "fossil."

Geology, Palaeontology & Archaeology / Re: Is this normal inside of plate layers?
« on: 12/08/2016 05:40:49 »
Concretions are rocks made from "roundish" balls of mud that become "petrified" - solidified into rocks. Since they are made in water they are found in sedimentary rocks, the layering. Oh, Bass you aren't too bad for hardrock geologist.

They are normal.

I study mud - sedimentary rocks

Technology / Re: Can you use a smart TV with an Ethernet in Port as a monitor?
« on: 28/07/2016 04:12:26 »
Only if the TV has a HDMI setting. Mine has this.

DON'T ASK ME WHAT IT MEANS!!!!!

The Environment / Re: Can CO2 satellite data be used to determine anthropogenic emissions?
« on: 27/07/2016 04:19:55 »
It is probable  a number that can be calculated but it can never be know. There is no baseline for what the CO2 level was before the industrial revolution.

Geology, Palaeontology & Archaeology / Re: Is a mid-life crisis driven graduate degree in geology a wise career move?
« on: 23/07/2016 05:02:12 »
There is always geologic work - safe work (U.S.G.S., etc.) or guts (free-lance consulting)  I just got fed up with know-nothing clients who want me to explain why I didn't com up with a producing well (Odds 1-in-27 to make an economic well) Find a good services rendered contract that guarantees nothing except normal professional services.

Just Chat! / Re: What is Trump's opinion about chemtrails?
« on: 21/07/2016 05:00:38 »
Ted  Cruz, as the last speaker of the convention, just dissed TRUMP SOUNDLY!!!!!!!!!! Cruz was expected to endorse Trump as all speakers tonight did. NOPE! When at the end of the evening Cruz was expected to say nice things about the great word done --- yada yada yada,  Everyone was to expecting him to say "vote for Trump," Cruz, Cruz said vote for (small pause) whomever you chose.

Boo's for Cruz

It may not seem like a big thing but the way it was done was the BEST political snub I have seen in 70 some odd years and I don't remember the first 20-30 years.  GO TED!!!!
