Hey guys i woke up..yesterday morning (as usual) and i felt my nose..(just to check it was still there, as you do) and i felt around a bit and my whole nose was sore and red, and it kinda felt like a cheese grater..but not as sharp!
Could this of been caused by shaving? cause my cheeks or chin dont feel the same..its just my nose..Ive tried moisturiser but its not making any difference...
Any suggestions on how to cure it or what has caused it in the first place!?
Thanks!

You shave your nose!
-
Cheeks
Chin
Neck
Sideburns
Nose
Why?

I never heard of a guy shaving his nose!!! Why do you shave your nose????
Put some moisturizer on there and allow it to heal.. stop shaving your nose.. Or you will end up like Big Foot having to shave your nose because you shaved it and now it is going to get longer.. and knarly! ... Seriously.. moisturize it and stop shaving your nose!

OH Yeah you probably have a bit of razor burn.. not enough cream or soap on the nose when you shaved it!!..A little neosporin or antibiotic cream will help it heal and take away the soreness!

Ive tried it..but it hasnt made any difference..and i dunno..just shaved my face..got bored and shaved my nose!

Antiseptic yeah? And i didnt use soap or form..just blade to skin..im a rookie at shaving hehe

Hee hee You never shave without soap or shaving cream.. even water is OK.. but dry shaving is not good... you need lubrication to the skin or else you will get razor burn and it can be horrendously painfull. I have found That Neosporin works well if I have accidentally received a razor burn in a place where I missed with the cream or soap.. I actually prefer just plain bar soap.. but some prefer creme.. now I am a women but I know some men just use water, But when I shaved my husbands face for him I used soap and the shave was much smoother then plain water, the cream works well to. I like the one with aloe it made his face look less red..

OUCH!!! Yep, blade to skin would definately cause the irritation. As Karen said, use the antiobiotic cream....and don't do that again.
By the way, instead of shaving cream, try hair conditioner...as recommended by Paul in another thread. That works really well and leaves your skin nice and soft.

Thanks! ill try the soap thing..but i need to get me some of that shaving foam and then go out in the cold and put some aftershave on! ill stick to the moisturiser and antiseptic cream for a while before shaving again though..thanks!

Uh yea..I dont mean to be a pain but this thing has travelled up to my forehead..and down to the tip of my nose..I dont think the moustiruzer did any help..should i just leave it and wait..or is a trip to the docs in order?
-
Stop applying creams and anything else, wash with just water and book an appointment with your GP.
-
what about hydrocitisone?
-
I agree with paul.. especially if it is spreading.. Did you shave up that high also???
-
no..not my forehead..
-
Yeah just keep it clean.. What kind of cream did you use on it?
-
A few. I put moisturizer..then anti septic cream, then i put a kinda anti spot cream thin that contains tea tree oil, i remember it really making me wana scratch..and i didnt..i just left it
-
Yeah don't use other cremes if it is from the razor as you have basically scuffed up your skin on your nose and other cremes can irratate it and make it feel and look as if it is spreading cause they cause a reaction to to braised skin. If anything thoroughly wash the skin clean and towel dry it.antibiotic ointment should work, but if you had a reaction just leave it to dry and heal..
