Nice eh ?
How come my ears are not on the top of my head or as easily maneuvarable ?!...I'm a hunter-gatherer and I need to be wary of human prey !!

hee hee hee..I like the whittle doggie with Dumbo ears...I can Fly..... LOL.. LOL..hee hee.. sorry so cute..
They do have to be more wary then we do for sure.. Horse have extremely good hearing as rabbits.. the big ears help trap the sound inside and they are able to use them like radar, but I am not sure why ours are not upon the tops of our heads...?

my ears are big and i can move them

LOL....he wiggles his ears all the time. Usually in public so I'll start laughing. [;D]
-
It would be harder to design headphones for movable ears.
-
Our ears would have been on top of our heads in our evolutionary past, but our brain case has grown bigger and upwards while our ears stayed in roughly the same place. Presumably the growth of our brain was enough to compensate for any disadvantages associated with losing ear-mobility, and our decreased hearing ability was not drastic enough to impair our survival..

What about maybe they are on the side of our heads to hear our own voices to help with learning speech by hearing the sounds of our own voice better ..

...if they were on top of our heads we wouldn't hear too well when wearing our baseball hats........
