Is CH3CH2NH2 a secondary amine?
-
From what I can remember of secondary amines, two of the hydrogens in an ammonia molecule have been substituted for other groups. Your formula would need to be:
Ch3CH3NH
to be a secondary amine.
Some of the 'more recent' chemists on the forum will be more up to-date perhaps.

CH3CH2NH2 is a primary amine. Primary amines R-CH2-NH2. Secondary amines R-NH-R′. Tertiary amines R-N(R″)R′.

That's what I thought, I just needed to be sure. Thanks!
