Years ago, I played with a pump up piston engine car called "Air Jammer". What do you think of a full scale light weight plastic piston engine car, that refills a large tank at the free air under pressure for tires part of the service stations. Free fuel!

I think the petrol retailers might smell a rat and start charging a high price for the use of their compressed air line.
-
Hmm what about engine pressure

Bearing in mind that you can pump up a tyre in a few minutes on one of those (electrical) machines, you will not be getting more than 0.1kWh of energy in a normal pump up time. They supply the air at very low pressure, compared with 'real' compressed air energy storage systems, so you would need an enormous volume of air stored in your boot. The garage would soon chase you away after a queue starts to form by the machine. Also - THEY CHARGE 20p at many garages. It's not even free.

Perhaps it would be better to eat a whole lot of beans and connect the exhaust manifold to the seats! Trouble is, if it backfires, it'll blow your head off.
Oh! Just a min, someone has come up with a safer way of powering a car by flatulence:

I'll use it anyday. [:)]

I thought that the concept of having compresses air to power a vehicle was classed as "incredibly dangerous" - gas cylinders are lethal if they are punctured....
Hmm what about engine pressure
If you used engine pressure to create the compresses air that then drove the engine, this would in effect be a perpetual motion machine, which, we all know, is impossible.

Hmmm, you forgot the opss. [;)]
