Title: What would our solar system look life from space?
Post by: system on 26/07/2011 21:01:02
What would our solar system look like to extra-solar observers?  Dr Chris Stark, from the Carnigie Institute in Washington, has been trying to find out...

I thought this podcast was great.  However  [;D], first things first, if we want to know what our solar system looks like viewed as we would see it from outer space then why not take a piccy from one of the voyager probes like this one......

I don't see the dust?

Secondly, what if the observer had different vision than we do, infra red for example?  I expect this would make our Solar system look quite different?

One thing I did notice about this picture is the resolution is utterly shocking, 70k total image size, NASA!  to me this is a particularly iconic picture and maybe is the maximum capacity of the Voyager camera although I doubt it?
