You can get a similar effect in cold weather, particularly when windy.

Put something cold in your mouth, such as ice cream, and the blood vessels will instantly contract. This is very short lived as the vessels almost immediately begin to dilate to allow blood to rewarm your mouth. Pain receptors send a signal to the brain and result is that ache in your forehead. Put simply, your body is saying 'don't shove ice cold stuff in here'.

I don't know the exact science behind it like Don_1 does, but it occurs when something cold comes into contact with the roof of your mouth.  It can be gotten rid of quicker by pressing your tongue against the roof of your mouth.
